yep.  it’s true.

i’m showing.

i’m showing my photography, in a group artshow next to the likes of Spencer Hansen and HERO of the SF Bay Area and fashion by **KittinHawk**.  main show will be by none other than LA’s own KUCOONdesigns.

this will be very interesting for me as i have never shown my work except for ONCE in a Hurricane Katrina Benefit.  i’ve been meeting with printers and framers and postproduction artists and i have picked two of my favorites to share with you next Saturday, December 12th.  LOVER presents “GOLDEN EYES“.  this is going to be insane as the convergence of SF and LA will be powerhousing it in the REC CENTER for one night only.  they have booked songstress’ ASHLEY KNIGHT, SWAN, EMA & DAKINI of GODDESS ALCHEMY PROJECT, deejays, production designers, aerialists and more!   i have a feeling this evening is going to be super fun.  i’m really really excited to be a part of this.  it’s spessshhal.

i’ll keep reminding you as the date comes closer.  but i highly suggest getting tickets beforehand as this evening will sell out and it’s $20 bux at the door.  the space is supercool with exposed bricks and an indoor fireplace.  the admission also includes an open bar.  i went two years ago and had a really good time.  here is a clip of one of their performances from their previous show, “In Your Eyes”.

bibio “Ambivalence Avenue”

can anybody tell me what my blog is about?  i have no idea.

new series of Lula and Amber Rose coming soon.  i took it upon myself to do a quick shoot while i was in SF last month for fun and to get some new people to work with.  i found a great wardrobe stylist, Massa Washington and a prop designer, Sandy Chan.  Both were such delights to work with.  This is just a QUICK shoot as i have yet to do any post work on them.  i have been nursing wrist tendonitis and it is NOT getting better.  i need to quit working in my room, on my bed, on my laptop with the trackpad.  talk about major reprogramming on how i do my work.  it’s no bueno.  anyways…i will update this post as i get pictures done.

first thank you.  to my momma.  it’s her birthday today.  we have hard times..but the older we get…the easier it is to get along and let the stupid things brush off your shoulder.

also…a big thank you to The Do Lab.  my years in L.A. have been QUITE the ride.  so many good friends.  good bros.  good sis’.  i love ‘em.  my life would be so boring w/o you.  so so so boring.  so with my cute iFlip they got me for my dirty thirty this year…i made us this.  thank you million times fold.  you guys make living the dream true.

i first heard of YEASAYER from the compilation DARK WAS THE NIGHT.  it was their song entitled, “Tightrope“.  so fun.  i sent to dugan right away.  we had a dance party in my room with that song on repeat over and over again for hours with me and like 6 of my closest guy friends.

today…that song is still one of my faves.

as i was searching around PITCHFORK for new music and new music videos to get inspired by….YEASAYER released their music video of their new single, “Ambling Alp“.  it’s dripping with surreality.  i can’t embed the video here in my post…but i can link you to PITCHFORK’s review.  what do you think?  i likey alot.  YEASAYER is doing good things for my earholes and eyeballs.

it was seriously just two days ago that Mary was telling me about this hot asian supermodel.  we were talking about bleaching my hair.  so she says, “have you heard of that hot asian supermodel, daul kim?  she’s been a blonde.  soooo hot.  you should totally do it.”

then…today she skypes me and chats, “daul kim is dead”.

ughhh.  i wonder why?  what happened?  speculation says, it was a suicide.

just because you are beautiful…doesn’t necessarily mean you are happy.
