i’ve been feeling kinda blue lately. not like the color, but the feeling. luckily if i had to show you in pictures of what my blue period looked like, this could be it.
at least it’s not THAT depressing.

these prints are soooooooo DOPE. the quality is unjustifiable on the internet. it looks blah blah blah compared to the actual prints. i will take appointments to show them. both are limited edition of 50 only. so if you’re a true die hard, come get a copy of Shrine’s temple from 2008, BASURA SAGRADA or the Do Lab and El Circo’s collaboration in 2009 and probably our last burningman called, SIMPLER TIMES. it comes in a handmade borderless stained woodenframe. it is hella SIICK.
this is serious you guys. we are talking next level here.
on february 13, 2010, the do lab and lucent lamour will bring you a visionary love fest. some delicious eye candy. alongside artists such as andrew jones & shrine, performances by lucent dossier, and musical acts such as bassnectar and stanton warriors, i’d like to introduce you to THE MAC AND RETNA. they take urban style wars to another dimension, and we are bringing it to you live and direct here in Los Angeles on February 13th at the Shrine Expo Hall. their work is very much so recognizable in the Los Angeles area. they will be doing a live large scale mural in the art gallery at Lucent L’Amour 2010. if that isn’t worth purchasing a ticket, maybe the Stanton Warriors is. or maybe Bassnectar? how ’bout N.A.S.A.? or maybe Nosaj Thing can get you moving? either way…we have something for everyone and i’m sure date night this valentines day weekend will surely get you placed in their top friends list.
yep. it’s true.
i’m showing.
i’m showing my photography, in a group artshow next to the likes of Spencer Hansen and HERO of the SF Bay Area and fashion by **KittinHawk**. main show will be by none other than LA’s own KUCOONdesigns.
this will be very interesting for me as i have never shown my work except for ONCE in a Hurricane Katrina Benefit. i’ve been meeting with printers and framers and postproduction artists and i have picked two of my favorites to share with you next Saturday, December 12th. LOVER presents “GOLDEN EYES“. this is going to be insane as the convergence of SF and LA will be powerhousing it in the REC CENTER for one night only. they have booked songstress’ ASHLEY KNIGHT, SWAN, EMA & DAKINI of GODDESS ALCHEMY PROJECT, deejays, production designers, aerialists and more! i have a feeling this evening is going to be super fun. i’m really really excited to be a part of this. it’s spessshhal.
i’ll keep reminding you as the date comes closer. but i highly suggest getting tickets beforehand as this evening will sell out and it’s $20 bux at the door. the space is supercool with exposed bricks and an indoor fireplace. the admission also includes an open bar. i went two years ago and had a really good time. here is a clip of one of their performances from their previous show, “In Your Eyes”.
COME COME! i dare ya.
